At City View Birthing Retreat, the services we offer encompasses the entire duration of pregnancy. We focus on encouraging and empowering women to make their own health-informed decisions regarding a nutritious diet during pregnancy, antenatal exercises and birth preparation. We do basic screening for general pregnancy-related conditions and we provide health-education for pregnancy discomforts.

At our birthing center, we offer natural water delivery as a peaceful, gentle option for welcoming your baby into the world. Immersing in warm water during labour provides natural pain relief, reduces physical tension, and allows you to move freely into positions that feel most comfortable. Throughout your journey, our experienced midwives deliver continuous, compassionate clinical care—carefully monitoring water temperatures, regularly checking fetal heart tones with waterproof equipment, and supporting your breathing and comfort. From guiding you through active labour to gently catching your baby underwater and helping with your initial skin-to-skin bond, our midwives ensure every moment of your water birth is grounded in safety, dignity, and personalized care.

At our birthing center, we prioritize proactive care to ensure both you and your growing baby remain healthy and thriving throughout your pregnancy. During your regular antenatal consultations, our basic screening services include comprehensive physical health assessments, routine screenings to detect early metabolic changes, and precise fetal growth monitoring. Using 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound technology, we track your baby’s development while giving you a clear, memorable window into their world. Every screening is conducted with deep clinical care and gentle attention, keeping you informed, reassured, and supported at every stage.

Each suite includes it's own queen-sized bed, private lounge area and has an en-suite bathroom. Each suite leads out onto its own private balcony, allowing expecting couples to enjoy the panoramic view over Pretoria in privacy.  Meals during deliveries are provided for the mother and one birthing partner or supporter.
